All Russia 2018 have received a pair of custom adidas Copa Mundial

Among all the things that are under the spotlights of the media and the supporters in these first days of World Cup, there also are referees, mainly for the international debut of VAR, with the related scenario of critics/comments in favor or against. The referee group is also showing itself for its style, particularly thanks to its boots. In fact, for Russia 2018 adidas Football provided all the referees with a custom pair of Copa Mundials, to celebrate the 10th consecutive appearance of the Three Stripes’ silo at the World Cup.

As spotted on social media, all the referees of Russia 2018 have shown custom models of the Copa Mundials, with the golden logo of the Soviet tournament on the heel, just behind the iconic ‘adidas’ writing. The Three Stripes silo is at its tenth participation at the World Cup after its debut during Spain 1982. In every other aspect, the Copa Mundial features its classic design, with black leather upper and gold detailing.
