June 29th, 2018
Three seasons on elite leagues only 21 years on his back. From his Renne’s debuts in Ligue 1 to his Barcelone’s dream with a tumultuous pit stop at Borussia Dortmund, and now he could be the crack for France during this World Cup. Ousmane Dembélé runs fast - on the pitch and in his life - and Yard in collaboration with Nike has released Ousmane, a 30-minutes documentary available on YouTube. The documentary directed by Jesse Adang and César Decharme it's a mini-series, almost a spin-off, of the acclaimed documentary Ballon Sur Bitume about the suburban football culture of Paris produced by Yard and available on Netflix. Ousmane recounts the life of Dembouz and how he had become role model status for all the kids from his neighborhood La Madeleine in Evreux. Little boys thrilled at every brisk inside hook he makes, the ones he practiced day and night in the streets. Through the bright eyes of those who support him and those who take him as an example, here is the story of a person who never doubted. The story of a golden boy who made a promise to himself to play alongside players he once watched on TV.
