In the occasion of his Wimbledon's debut, RF is playing with his new kit
July 2nd, 2018
We had already anticipated here, now it' official: after 24 years Nike is no longer the technical sponsor of Roger Federer after the contract had expired last March. The Swiss champion had not announced anything officially in recent hours, but he did it directly, wearing his new Uniqlo uniform (white of course) at the highly expected debut at Wimbledon, on the Centre Court against Serbian Dusan Lajovic. In addition to the shirt, signed by Uniqlo are also shorts, socks and headband, while the shoes are Nike.
Meanwhile, has also arrived the official announcement by the Japanese brand, which already sponsors two other top-level players such as Novak Djokovic but above all the local hero Kei Nishikori. So we just have to wait to know the figures and details of this new agreement. Rumors talk about a ten-year contract of about 300 million dollars.
