Yesterday night, when the world was quietly going towards the end of a regular Tuesday, a simple press release appeared on Real Madrid’s website and social networks shook the ‘planet football’ (but also planet Earth): “Cristiano Ronaldo has communicated his will to leave the club and he will become a Juventus player.”

We will need way more than a dozen hours to fully assimilate the immensity of this transfer. Maybe we will need months or years to understand how the Portuguese’s arrival will change Serie A’s dynamics and how its perception around the world will change. Bus as Ronaldo will be presented soon - apparently on Monday - and that he will play his first game with a Juventus shirt in the first seasonal friendlies, we can’t wait months or years.
