Hyundai will be the new back sponsor of AS Roma
The logo of the Asian car company will feature on the Giallorossi shirt
July 24th, 2018
It seems centuries have passed since AS Roma played with the usual red and yellow shirt without the patch of any sponsor: after signing an agreement with Qatar Airways, the Italian team announced a new multi-year partnership with an international giant like Hyundai, which will be the new back sponsor. To be precise, the South Korean car manufacturer will be the Global Automotive Partner of the Giallorossi: its logo will feature on the back of the jersey, under the number to be clear, while the Hyundai brand will appear on the LEDs on the sidelines during the home matches of all competitions and on Trigoria training camp, also becoming a solid presence on the social media spaces.
The agreement was accompanied by a short video in which, among the protagonists, figured not only Roma supporters but also Edin Dzeko, Javier Pastore, Bryan Cristante and Cengiz Ünder. The Hyundai brand is not new to such roles in the world of football: it has been FIFA's top partner for almost 20 years and has long been at the side of UEFA, has been sponsoring Olympique Lyon for many years and has recently made strong collaborations with some top Europeans clubs like Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, and Hertha Berlin. Thanks to this agreement, Rome will receive about 10 million euros for the next three seasons.
