Brentford 'til I die

How many times in your lives have you heard someone - or maybe you said it yourselves - “I will support my club til I die”? Well, for the supporters of Brentford FC, a London-based club that is currently playing in the Championship, this has become more actual than ever, as the club has just announced a partnership with G Saville & Son Funeral Directors, that is exactly what it looks… funeral parlors.

In fact, Graham Saville and his wife Sue, alongside with their sons and grandson, are the fifth generation to run the family business and - it goes without saying - have always been Brentford supporters. “We are proud to be Partners of Brentford Football Club”, Graham said, “we want to support and guide supporters through one of the most distressing and stressful times of their lives. We believe that our clients should be treated as if we were all members of one family and we are working with our suppliers to offer clients a bespoke coffin in club colors and sporting the Brentford FC badge.”

This has to be one of the weirdest announcements we’ve ever read, but the supporters will probably be glad to know that they’ll be able to bring their love for the club into eternity… literally.
