Finally, a long time behind the majority of the European countries, Italy is slowly welcoming to the women teams of Seria A’s top clubs. After the introduction of Juventus female team and the arrival of AC Milan’s one, Friday there has been the presentation of AS Roma women’s team, in the amazing setting of Piazza di Spagna. Every member of the team has been walked down the Trinità stairs by some players of the male’s team.

The girls coached by Betty Bavagnoli, vice European champion with Italy back in ’93, have been presented to the supporters, the club and AS Roma’s partners, officially starting the season that will begin on the pitch on September 22 in Sassuolo, against the black and green representative. It’s a pleasure to welcome this new reality in Italian women football, ahead of a very important season, as next summer the Italian national team will participate at the World Cup.
