Three Lions in black and white
Tonight, Sky Sports will televise 25 seconds of the game without colors to celebrate as many years of "Kick It Out"

Tonight, at 8 PM London time, English football fans watching Sky Sports for the National team’s game against Switzerland - the friendly match that follows the defeat against Spain - could think for a moment to be back in the Sixties, when the television was only in black and white. In fact, Murdoch’s broadcaster will televise the first 25 seconds in black and white, to homage the 25th birthday of the “Kick It Out” organization.
In fact, “Kick It Out” has been promoting the fight to racism and every other form of discrimination in the English League since 1993. The players that will take the pitch at the King Power Stadium in Leicester not only will be seen in black and white but will also wear a celebratory shirt for the occasion. The Football Association has always been ahead of time in these matters and it’s been fighting for equality and integration since the very beginning of the Premier League era. “Our hope”, said the FA's Inclusion Advisory Board Chairman, Paul Elliott, “is that the footage will encourage the millions of viewers at home to spend at least 25 seconds thinking about the importance of diversity in this beautiful game of ours.”
"We're very grateful to Sky Sports for supporting the idea since its conception and look forward to seeing Three Lions in black and white for the first time in nearly 50 years.” Unfortunately, the game won’t be broadcasted in Italy so we won’t be able to witness this historical event live.
