We heard about it, we ‘spied’ it thanks to the many pics leaked online, we waited for it for months and now we are finally ready to see it released. Of course, we’re talking about what could be the drop of the year: the Jordan x Paris Saint-Germain collection, that will give Neymar and his teammates a series of items for the Champions League that will be envied by everyone. It’s the first large-scale meeting between football and basketball culture and, of course, the two realities influenced each other in terms of style.

One of the details that will be most noticed by NBA enthusiasts - at least the ones that are not indignant for this appearance of the Jumpman in the Beautiful Game - it will be the font used in the new Jordan x PSG shirts. The reason? It’s the same used by the Chicago Bulls in the 1998 season, when Micheal Jordan led the Illinois franchise to its sixth title, closing his second three-peat and his adventure with the Chicago Bulls uniform. Not an insignificant detail, that creates a strong connection between His Airness and the Parisian club, that is already enjoying the hype created by this collabo weeks ahead of its release.

The only player that won’t be at his first encounter with the Jumpman will be, of course, Neymar that in his years in Barcelona already had the chance to team up with MJ for a pair custom of Nike Hypervenom x Jordan. For what regards us, we are really excited to see the reactions of the fans - both football and basketball ones - to this unusual collaboration, waiting to see if there will be more in the future. Maybe one day, just like it happened for the Charlotte Hornets in the NBA, PSG will play every game with the Jumpman on its shirt.
