Brooklyn Nets have honoured Notorious B.I.G.
The rapper and his Coogi's sweater have inspired the New York team's "City Edition"

We have already admitted that our favorite "City Edition" Jersey is the Miami Heat's one, but the Brooklyn Nets model has seduced our sensitive hearts. During yesterday match against the Los Angeles Clippers, the Nets' city edition was finally worn by D'Angelo Russell and his teammate and we realized that is very cool, in particular, the sleeve, definitely better than the Supreme's one that we saw last year in NBA.
Nets' project based on one of the most famous symbols for the streetwear and musical culture of New York, and in particular for Brooklyn: The Notorious B.I.G. aka Biggie aka Biggie Smalls.
In the '90, when rap scene becomes more and more fashion, B.I.G had the merit, in addition to those musicals, to introduce the Australian brand Coogi, which become immediately famous for his powerful colors. Coogi's sweater is still one of the symbols of Biggie, a well-known image as the crown he wears in a famous photograph.
Nets' initiative was very interesting, the show was great and also the video that introduced the match. it was definitely a complete project, that was not only focused on the jersey design or the classy sleeve colors but also to the Barclays Center, in itself very elegant for the vintage charm of the court. A dark court slightly vintage, set up with a mix of colors seen on the jerseys, that was later removed because it considered unsafe for the players.
The coogi has been removed from the court. Hearing it was taken off because there were some concerns about it being a safety issues. #Nets pic.twitter.com/SV5U3ETAYy
