"Halleluka", the hit dedicated to Luka Doncic
The Ringer has published a cover of "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen dedicated to the Dallas Mavericks player
November 30th, 2018
I read more and more often that many had doubts about the impact that Luka Doncic would have had on the NBA and that they are now starting to retrace their steps. Well, don't! And it does not even surprise us the boldness with which he's facing the jump in the most important league in the world, we are talking about a boy who at 17 years "jokes" with opponents in Euroleague, not at the leisure centre. The Dallas Mavericks fans are enjoying their "wonderboy" but have not seen anything yet, the best is yet to come!
Meanwhile, however, the site The Ringer, has published a cover of the wonderful piece of Leonard Cohen "Hallelujah" dedicated to the most beloved Slovenian in Texas. Enjoy it!
Well I heard there was a wonderboy
That many teams would not employ
But you don’t really care for Euros, do ya?
So where would he go? The fourth? The fifth?
Or would he fall and be a Knick?
The baffling Kings took Bagley over Luka
Halleluka, Halleluka, Halleluka, Halleluka
Well his game was strong, but we needed proof
We hadn’t seen him play Mizzou
But his playmaking and passing overthrew ya
And he led the break, it wasn’t fair
His stepback three flew through the air
It fell and Dallas traded up for Luka
Halleluka, Halleluka, Halleluka, Halleluka
Well maybe he should’ve been your pick
Even though he’s white and thick
He’s colder than a tall glass of Kombucha
And we all cheered for his debut
An injured Dirk was cheering too
And every Mavs fan shouted “Halleluka”
Halleluka, Halleluka, Halleluka, Halleluka
