The new Liverpool 'blackout' jersey
A new total black limited edition collection for Liverpool fans
December 14th, 2018
Liverpool's technical sponsor New Balance has launched the new 2018/2019 Blackout Home Shirt, a limited edition capsule that recolor in black every reference to the iconic red. An effortlessly stylish twist to the home jersey, following up a similar concept that dropped in September last year a similar jersey. New Balance have reintroduced a collar, a tipped two-button polo collar that gives the 18/19 shirt a lifestyle look, making it even more wearable for fans.
All logos and details are black. This includes the New Balance, Standard Chartered and Liverpool logos as well as the subtle 1990s-inspired pattern found on the original LFC home kit, a linear jacquard stripes inspired by the landmark architecture of the redeveloped Main Stand. The bird, symbol of the city of Liverpool, is embroidered on the chest. New Balance has used innovative NB DRY technology, it wicks moisture away from the skin to help keep you fresh and dry. The completely black uniforms are not very common among football teams, and probably this model will never be worn by Klopp's players.
