Krzysztof Piątek, AC Milan and 9 debuts to remember

The shock that all the 'depressed' AC Milan fans have been looking for for months has finally arrived: it comes from Poland, the first half of the season was a fury at Genoa and for the Rossoneri fans it's already the ideal bomber, even if they have seen him just over 90 minutes. And it's crazy to think that until a few months ago no one had ever heard of him, and he was also not in the database of the best football scouts in Europe. Call him 'pistolero', or simply call him Kris, Piątek against Napoli played for the first time from as a starter (he already debuted a few days ago) and decided the match: 2 shots and 2 goals in the first half (and there are 21 at this point of the season!), enough to inflame the (few) supporters present at S. Siro and take the pass for the Italian Cup semi-finals. Higuain is already a memory, as well as all the other strikers who had worn the shirt number 9 without leaving their mark. Piątek instead opted for the 19, perhaps just to avoid running into the curse of the AC Milan 'nine' that has already affected the performances of Fernando Torres, Mattia Destro, Luiz Adriano, Alessandro Matri, Gianluca Lapadula and Andre Silva. The debut from the first minute of the Polish was amazing, it's true, but it was not the only one to be considered unforgettable: with his brace in 27 minutes, however, he can already overcome illustrious predecessors.

August 29th, 1999, Andriy Shevchenko:

just bought from Dynamo Kiev, the Ukrainian striker had just debuted on the occasion of the Italian Super Cup lost against Parma. But the debut in A went differently, with the goal of the momentary 1-2 in the away game of Lecce (then ended 2-2), the first of the 24 that earned him the title of top scorer of the league.

September 10th, 2006, Ricardo Oliveira:

how not remember the Brazilian former Betis when we think of the debuts, but in the category of unlucky experiences. For he, a goal against Lazio in the first Serie A gameweek that surprised everyone and then nothing, or almost.

February 17th 2007, Ronaldo:

one of the most shocking moments in the history of AC Milan, to see the former Inter Milan Ronaldo with the Milan shirt at the beginning of 2007. The first two appearances of the Fenomeno were in Tuscany: the first appearance in Livorno and then the debut from first minute in Siena, a few days later, and the brace in the final 3-4.

January 13th, 2008, Alexandre Pato:

as already happened with the Internacional and Brazil Under 20, the Brazilian striker bought by AC Milan when we was still a minor., in the starting XI alongside fellow countrymen Kakà and Ronaldo, marked his debut in Serie A in the amazing 5-2 against Napoli. The first of 51 goals scored in top flight with AC Milan. 

February 10th 2008, Alberto Paloschi:

At Siro there is Milan-Siena and the Rossoneri fail to unlock the 0-0, then Ancelotti decides to put in a youngster of 18 years instead of Serginho to help Inzaghi, able after only 18 seconds to give the Milan the goal of the lead. A goal that every Rossonero fan clearly recalls.

September 1st, 2012, Giampaolo Pazzini:

just taken from Inter Milan, the Abruzzo striker had debuted a few days earlier during the home defeat against Sampdoria. At the first chance from the first minute, however, 'il Pazzo' had immediately shown that he was the right signing for Allegri with a hat-trick against Bologna.

February 3rd 2013, Mario Balotelli:

as in a movie script, SuperMario scored a brace in the 2-1 home win against Udinese (including a doubt penalty) debut from the first minute with the AC Milan shirt three days after his move, just arrived from England in the 2013 winter session.

September 23th, 2014, Fernando Torres:

the 30-year-old Spanish striker arrived in Italy with an exceptional track record, and after his experience in the Premier League he was immediately catapulted to Empoli: alongside Honda and Menez he scored one of the two goals with which Milan snatched the 2-2 from Castellani. It seemed the first of a long series, and instead the Italian trip of the Niño quickly ended, after just 10 appearances.

September 20th, 2017, Patrick Cutrone:

Cutrone is certainly not part of the group of 'failed strikers': only 19 years, after starting from the first minute in occasion of the Europa League qualifying round, he was able to repeat a few days later during his first starting match, the trip to Crotone won 3-0 thanks to his goal and an assist.
