For Twenty-six years, FIFA has been the golden standard of football video-games. I'm not talking just about the game itself, but the aesthetic that shaped gamers and football in wider sense.
One of the my fetish are the covers of the various edition, which in some cases are truly masterpieces.
Covers have the responsibility to seal the essence of the game, but also is a way of picturing who and which player was perceived to be the crack and the idol of that year.
Shevchenko, Ronaldinho, David Ginola, Bobo Vieri, Roberto Carlos and Fernando Morientes are just a few of the iconic figures that showed up for one or more years on the FIFA's cover.
Today, we rewatch the ten covers that no one remembers in a list that will make veterans cry the proverbial tears and will make youngest players smile and discover the past of their favorite video game.
