Manchester City's special font inspired to the Chinese New Year
Citizens celebrates the traditional Asian anniversary too
February 11th, 2019
We have talked about it often in the last days: the Chinese New Year and the beginning of the year of the Pig have influenced the European football teams, who decided to celebrate the traditional Asian festival in different ways. For example, Inter Milan played the home match against Bologna with Chinese players' names on the back of the shirt; FC Barcelona played the Clasico of Copa del Rey with a similar jersey, but writing names with two languages; PSG instead thought only to merchandise the shirts, without really dress them.
Manchester City has chosen to use a different and original option, adding a special font: Guardiola's boys will not wear the custom jerseys, which are however available on the online store of the English club from the beginning of February. Undoubtedly a nice gift for the Asian fans and for all the collectors, who can buy the shirt of their favorite player, even if they are inexplicably missing the goalie shirts. At the moment, on sale, each of the 22 jerseys costs around £50.
