The Dragon Ball Z football jerseys

nss sports has organized what looks like a real Tenkaichi Tournament. If you know what we are talking about it means that you have seen the anime, inspired from the manga of Akira Toriyama, a cult of entire generations of children who have fought, call to himself the forces of nature with their hands up or sadly tried to make their yellow hair. We are talking about Dragon Ball, and in particular, of Dragon Ball Z, the series of 126 television episodes in which Goku, now an adult, must avoid the destruction of the planet earth threatened in the first order by Freeza, Cell and finally by Majin Bu.

The designer has created a concept collection of soccer jerseys, inspired by the world of Goku, Vegeta, and the collection that adidas launched at the end of 2018. The German brand had in fact customized different models of adidas EQT, ZX 500 RM, Yung 1, Deerupt, Prophere, Ultra Tech, and Kamanda, inspired by the colors of some of the key characters of the Japanese saga. The Graphic designerfollowed the same concept projecting it into the world of soccer jerseys. The base from which starts the project is the adidas kits used during the last FIFA World Cup, in which the bold graphics and geometric patterns, taken from the '80s and' 90s, had confirmed the intentions of the brand to focus on the nostalgia vibes.

The graphics project published this week consists of 9 special short-sleeved uniforms, inspired by as many characters, and embossed with the adidas Original logo. The Majin Buu pink, the orange of Goku uniform or the purple and green typical of Junior, become colors that combine in a suggestive and unusual way the world of Japanese manga Dragon Ball with that of football.

Majin Bu

The challenge of Goku against Majin Buu begins during a Tenkaichi Tournament. He is one of the most famous protagonists of the saga thanks to its pink color and unmistakable physicality. The shirt is essentially composed of two colors, pink and black, which on the sides of the shirt creates a texture made of lines and edges. On the chest there is the number 7 while on the top left the crest of the shirt is the famous Majin Buu logo, imprinted on the gold belt of the monster, color taken up at the edge of the sleeves.

Goku

The only undisputed hero of the manga, Kakarot defeat one at a time all the enemies of the story. Change the color of the hair but what never changes is its orange and blue suit, so the shirt makes for the collection resumes the same combination of colors. Large space is given to the orange color, while the blue characterizes the number 4, the collar and sleeve edges and finally the three adidas stripes on the shoulders. As a symbol, is choose the Kame one, the symbol of the turtle school, also present on the Goku suit.

Cell

The monster created by Dr. Gelo is among the strongest of the cartoon, its appearance is similar to those of a reptile, with the tail thanks to which absorb the enemies to feed himself. The monster will be defeated by Gohan, and the shirt projects us into the Red Ribbon Army, whose logo is inserted as a crest inside the shirt. The color could only be green, with a vaguely digital darker squares pattern. Also, in this case, the color detail is placed on the sleeve, with the purple that refers to the parts of the same color on the face and on the monster's pelvis.

Freezer

The cyber monster, defeated after the epic moment when Goku turns into super-Saiyan, is the first real enemy obstacle in the saga. Its glossy white color with purple / rosé parts is the reason from which this concept starts, which creates a knit in which the typical pattern of the 80s football uniforms is introduced, geometrically composed of lines, rhombuses, and triangles. On the chest in positioned the number 21, while on the upper left the purple and white crest, is composed of a union of two F, symbol of "Freezer Force".

Junior

One of the things that many of us have tried to do is to put two fingers in front trying to get the same powers as the most famous Dragon Ball characters. Junior is the classic character presented initially as an enemy of Goku who ends up becoming his faithful friend. The shirt is inspired by the purple color of his suit, one of the most fascinating of those present in the cardboard, with the white coat that is taken in the details of the number, the V collar and in the three stripes on the shoulders. On the chest, the symbol is the Kanji, which in English means "devil".

Vegeta

Together with Goku, he is the most loved character of the saga, as well as the king of the Saiyan family, whose symbol is inserted into this concept on the chest. The shirt is entirely blue with white edges and number 9 on the chest, while the three graphic stripes, also seen on the second shirt of Argentina in the last World Cup, are white and yellow, inspired by the other colors of Vegeta's armor.

Trunks

Bulma's son and Vegeta is the most stylish character in the anime series, probably thanks to the purple hair or sword, however, the young Sayan has inspired this two-color concept. The color of the hair is matched with black, which colors all the decorative elements of the shirt, from the adidas Originals logo to the three diagonal stripes that rise from the bottom to dark towards the number. The crest is that of the Capsule Corporation, which appears on the right shoulder of the Trunks coming-from-the-future of the saga.

Drago Shenron

Although within an extremely complicated and twisted plot, the whole story revolves around the search for the seven dragon balls. Objects through which you can summon the Dragon Shenron that allows you to fulfill one or more desires. This is the sixth protagonist who inspired the concept of the Italian graphic designer, green and gold, like the dragon and the spheres. On the chest the number 10 and the circle with seven stars inside. On the sides, as well as on the edges of the sleeves are used two other colors that characterize the divinity, the yellow and the red of its eyes.

Squadra Ginyu

The battle with the Ginew team is the starter of the challenge with Freeza. Rikoom, Ginew, Guldo, Jeeth, and Butter prove more skilled in choreography than in the fight, in fact, they are easily defeated by Goku and Vegeta at the beginning of the saga. The jersey dedicated to them is black, the same model as that used for Vegeta, this time alternating with the white of the diagonal lines, the orange also present in the team logo, positioned on the left chest. The white color also highlights the edges of the sleeves and the number 5 on the chest.
