We talked about this for months and now it's official: starting from next season PUMA Football will become a technical sponsor of Manchester City and four other teams of the City Football Group. In addition to the English club, current champion in the Premier League, the German brand has in fact signed a long-term global partnership with the other satellite clubs such as Girona (which currently wears Umbro), Melbourne City FC, Club Atletico Torque and Sichuan Jiuniu FC, covering the respective selections of men's, women's and youth soccer. Both New York City FC, linked to adidas as an MLS franchise, and Yokohama Marinos are not involved in the agreement.

Without too many words "PUMA's partnership with City Football Group is the greatest collaboration we've ever done, both in scope and ambition", said Bjørn Gulden, CEO of PUMA. Already in the last months great players like Vincent Kompany, Sergio Aguero and David Silva but also of women like Caroline Weir, Pauline Bremer and Nikita Parris have become part of the PUMA family. According to the first rumors coming from England, the agreement should provide around £ 650 million for 10 years, making it the second richest contract for a Premier League club, behind only what Manchester City receives from adidas.
