A 9-years old girl has designed the new Curry 6 Girls can hoop too

A few months ago, at Christmas, we talked about the story that involved Stephen Curry - captain of the Golden State Warriors and testimonial Under Armour - and his fan, Riley Morrison, 9 years old. The question arose from the will of Riley, a small basketball player, to start her new season with a pair of sneakers of her favorite champion but once on the Under Armour site she had failed, with her father, to find a pair of signature Curry shoes as a girl (you can actually buy them but it is very difficult to find them).
Riley wrote a letter to Steph that became viral on Instagram and arrived on the desk of the two-time NBA MVP who took the matter to heart. Together with Under Armour and the small and tenacious Riley on March 8th, on the occasion of the Women's Day, the new Curry 6 was presented in a purple and white colorway with the interior designed by Riley.

The new Curry 6 "United We Win" was presented in an Under Armour pop-up store by Steph and Riley in Oakland, where the Golden State Warriors play. Riley's drawings are simple but at the same time, two girls playing basketball accompanied by phrases like "Girl Power", "Be Fearless" and "Be the change".
Riley Morrison also issued a statement shared by Under Armour:

"I’ve been kinda blown away, and certainly grateful for the opportunities that Stephen has given me, including sharing inspiration for other girls through the sockliner art. This has been such an incredible experience."

Stephen Curry and Under Armour have taken a step in the right direction to further eliminate the gender disparities that still exist in the world of basketball sneakers and more.
