You had already noticed that while watching the highlights of Sampdoria-Atalanta, played on Sunday: the Ligurian team did not play with the traditional shirt but with an unusual jersey, all white with a horizontal black and red band and black shorts. As already announced in the last days, in fact, Samp wanted to pay homage to its origins celebrating the 120th adversary of Sampierdarenese, one of the Genoese clubs from which Sampdoria was born in 1946.
'If we do not remember we can not understand. And if we do not understand, we risk not recognizing who we are and where we come from.'
The kit, produced by Joma and made truly unique by details such as the collar with laces, was produced in limited editions and with a beneficial purpose: 100 copies sold on Sunday in the stadium store, at Sampdoria Point and online in the next days, while the others will be auctioned in the coming weeks and revenues will be allocated in favor of the "Gaslini" hospital.
