On the front page of Sport on Saturday 16th March there was a Barcelona shirt so unique that it immediately became viral, if only for the unmistakable title 'Camiceta Bomba': according to the Catalan sports newspaper, in fact, Barça will have a fourth yellow and red jersey next season, which will be used exclusively for top matches, such as the Santiago Bernabeu Clasico.
Already in 2014 the Blaugrana team had decided to pay tribute to their Catalan origins on their jersey: this time the inspiration for the new design of the 2019/2020 jersey would seem to come from the famous legend of Guifré el Pilós, in Spanish culture considered the founder of Catalonia. The four strips of blood on the golden background would in fact be the bloody fingers of the dying noble after a battle: the four bars that then gave birth to the flag of the Spanish region, the so-called Senyera.

As we were saying, the spoiler of the new Barcelona kit quickly became viral, so much so that it immediately caused the most disparate reactions: fans, journalists but also insiders. The Spanish profile of Kappa, for example, with a meme appeared on Twitter immediately claimed responsibility for the pattern, already used to make the shirt of a Catalan rugby team, the Unió Esportiva Santboiana. Whether it is a simple and ironic controversial observation or a real beginning of a war between competitors, we will soon find out.
