New Flamengo's home kit

The Brazilian club Flamengo and adidas have revealed new shirt for the 2019 season.

The shirt is a mixture between the past and the future: we can find tradition in colors and texture because the shirt is based on 17 hoops, 9 red and 8 black stripes, like Flamengo’s typical colors. The horizontal stripes are thinner and smaller than the 2018 home shirt, the colors are darker in particular the red one, and all the stripes continues on the back and on the sleeves.

The German brand has add some customizations, one classic and one more innovative and particular. For classic one, on the front left side on the chest, it has been applied the three words “CRF” (Clube De Regatas do Flamengo), on the back the date 1895, year when Flamengo was founded.

We can find the innovative customization in all over the shirt: inside every red stripes it has been add the Flamengo’s nickname MENGO, in 3D application. Adidas says they have been applied to make more difficult counterfeit the shirt.

Worn for the first time by two former Serie A players like Diego and Gabigol, and also by the female players, Flamengo home kit is complete with red and black hoops socks and short: it’s useful make a point about socks. At the start the home kit short was white, after tragedy at Flamengo youth training camp, the shorts are black.
