A Russian team played with a Lenin-inspired football shirt
We are talking about the club of the politician's hometown, Volga Ulyanovsk

After the 'carpet' jersey worn by Rostov last season, here is another clamorous football shirt from Russia: Volga Ulyanovsk, a team that plays in one of the Russian third division, played with a celebrative kit inspired by Lenin's birthday, the Soviet revolutionary and politician born in Ulyanovsk on April 22nd, 149 years ago.

Yellow and black as usual, the shirt depicts a young Lenin (whose first name is Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov) in the guise of a goalkeeper and was worn in the match won 1-0 against Chelyabinsk. The sales proceeds of this shirt, which we are sure will become a must-have for collectors, will go to charity.
