Zara could become the next Spanish football team kit supplier
The Spanish Federation would be in contact with the Inditex group
May 30th, 2019
In recent days we have told you about the end of the sponsorship contract that linked the Real Federación Española de Fútbol (RFEF) to adidas. The Spanish Federation in the official statement reproached the German brand for not guaranteeing sufficient support, thus ending a relationship that had lasted since 1992 and that accompanied the two victories at the European Championships of 2008 and 2012 and that of the World Cup won in 2010, the only one of its history.
These days we have tried to hypothesize what will be the next sponsor of La Roja and according to what was reported by the Spanish daily AS, in recent months RFEF president Luis Rubiales would also have made an unsuccessful approach with Zara, controlled by the Inditex holding company.

The group, which also manages Pull and Bear, Bershka, Massimo Dutti, and Oysho, among other things, is owned by the Spaniard Amancio Ortega, according to Forbes the sixth richest man in the world, with assets of 62 billion dollars.
The Spanish group for the moment has declined the proposal of the RFEF, explaining how more programming is needed for a project of this type, also considering the fact that Zara has never supplied sports clothing to football teams.
The most likely track is the one that sees PUMA as the next technical sponsor of the Red Furies.
