Salernitana unveiled a new logo for its Centenary
On garnet shirts during the season number 100
June 25th, 2019
After avoiding the relegation in extremis, only thanks to the penalties' win in the play-off against Venice, for Salernitana it's time to plan the next Serie B season: the Campania club has presented the new technical sponsor (Zeus will replace GIVOVA), a special jersey in a limited edition for the Centenary of the club and also a special logo that will be present on the garnet jerseys next season. It was 19 June 1919, in fact, when a group of friends gave birth to the Unione Sportiva Salernitana.
For the season number 100 of its history, the Italian team asked Doppiavù Studio to create a celebratory logo that contained the historical iconography and a projection towards the future: there is obviously the yellow hippocampus on a garnet background designed in 1948 by Gabriele D'Alma, behind which appears the written '100', white and light blue like the shirts worn in the 30s. To the right instead there is the follaro, the ancient coin that is present stylized in the current Salernitana's crest.
