With an Instagram post, Yoon Ambush has unveiled the release date of its new project in collaboration with Nike, already announced at the end of May and created for the Women's World Cup in France.
It's called WOMEN'S WORLD CUP 2019 Hybrid Football jersey and will be released starting July 2nd. It is exactly a hybrid between a jersey and a Happi, a model of Japanese headgear similar to the kimono, which just like soccer jerseys often had personalized symbols printed or sewn on the back.
Just like the original Happi this model also shows the designer's logo on the back and an 11, the lucky number of Yoon, as the Dior Men Jewelry Designer said on Instagram. 11 are also the stars inside the crest sees blue and orange positioned along with the swoosh on the front of the shirt.
Black profiles and a long V-shaped split are the elements that most refer to the Japanese tradition and to an unusual item that shows Nike's great attention to the women's World Cup. The teams sponsored by the brand at the beginning of the competition were 14 and this drop increases the appeal of the whole movement and the link between fashion and soccer, as well as confirming the great success of the partnership between the designer and Nike.
