Pep Guardiola is the new PUMA Football ambassador
He will help the brand designing clothing and footwear collections
July 29th, 2019
PUMA's family and ambitions have expanded over the past year, Antoine Griezmann, Romelu Lukaku, Jan Oblak, Sergio Aguero, Axel Witsel, Samuel Umtiti and lastly Milan Škriniar are just some of the great footballers sponsored by the German brand. The squad needed a manager, so PUMA announced a new long-term partnership with Pep Guardiola.
A deal in addition to the one closed just a few months ago with Manchester City, a 650-million-pound ten-year deal that recently presented the Home, Away and Third kits for next season, with choices of strong personality and the limit of bizarre.
@pumafootball have today announced a new long-term partnership with Pep Guardiola.

The role of the Spanish coach will go beyond mere sponsorship, in fact, Pep will support the brand in the development of sportswear and footwear for both the field and lifestyle. PUMA replaces Guardiola's previous partner DSQUARED2, which replaced Gore-Tex, worn at the time of Bayern Munich.
The brand specialized mainly in sportswear will have an exceptional testimonial, considered a style model with its essential, simple and repetitive looks, but with strong charisma.
The direction and objectives of this partnership are clear, as also declared by Johan Adamsson, Director of Sports Marketing & Sports Licensing at PUMA:
“We are delighted to partner with Pep. First as a player and now as a manager, he has demonstrated immense footballing intelligence and work ethic, combined with a relentless drive for improvement and learning. Pep’s principles and passion for the game are perfectly aligned with our vision for PUMA Football.”
The manager, on the other hand, explained that this agreement also has emotional importance for him:
"I’m delighted to join the PUMA brand. So much of my footballing philosophy and understanding of the game was influenced by Johan Cruyff, who was sponsored by PUMA, and I am proud to follow in his footsteps."
