Arsenal has just signed a clothing partnership with 424
Football & streetwear for Gunners too
October 9th, 2019
After having break the deal with the Neapolitan brand Cavallaro, Arsenal has signed a two-year agreement with the Californian fashion brand 424 on Fairfax, which makes its absolute debut in the world of football. The guy that made everything possible is, of course, Héctor Bellerin: the Spanish full-back was among the testimonials of the new formal uniforms, together with teammates Alexandre Lacazette and Emile Smith Rowe, but above all it was the main channel through which was possible to sign the agreement, given the friendship that binds him to the co-founder of 424, Guillermo Andrade. Maybe the most faithful followers of the Catalan player could not have missed this Instagram post, last May.
What we expect to see is a formal but absolutely unconventional collection, as in the DNA of the American brand. The first pics (the oversize coat and the 424 logo in sight, close to the Arsenal crest) are proof of this. The partnership will concern not only the staff of the men's team, but also the women's team for the first time, as also pointed out by Andrade himself:
"This coming season a dream of mine will come true, as I have been invited to design the club suit for the players and senior staff of Arsenal FC, as the Official Formal Wear Partner. We are also proud that 424 will design formal wear for the Women’s Super League champions, Arsenal Women, for the first time in the club’s history."
