The Kappa x Aston Villa 2019/2020 lookbook
Celebrating the new partnership between the Italian brand and the English club just back in the Premier League
October 17th, 2019
After three seasons in the Championship, Aston Villa is back in the Premier League, the natural habitat of the Birmingham club during almost all the 130 years of the club, the fifth most successful in the history of English football. A few days before hitting the top-flight promotion, Aston Villa signed with Kappa, and a few months after the beginning of this sports partnership the Italian brand wanted to honor the new deal with a dedicated lookbook, as it had done some month ago with AS Monaco.
The shots are set just close to the Villa Park, the stadium that hosts the home games of the Villans since 1897 and which for the occasion became a photographic set. The main actors are undoubtedly the new jerseys designed by Kappa and worn by three guys: the classic claret & blue kit and the Away shirt in inverted colors, both perfectly matching the brick walls, the signs, the seats, the turnstiles and the handrails of the English venue; and also the goalkeeper away jersey, which was preferred to the Third Kit maybe a little bit inapposite because of its aggressive pattern.
