New Balance has just released the new OMN1S x Kawhi Leonard
Already worn on the occasion of the debut of the last 2019 Finals MVP against Lakers
October 24th, 2019
For Kawhi Leonard a new sporting adventure has just begun, moving from Canada to California, from the title with the Toronto Raptors won as main actor to the new challenge with the Los Angeles Clippers of which he will probably become the absolute leader. The last 2019 Finals MVP, which for some years has signed a deal with New Balance (an agreement that also involved him in a serious legal trouble against his former supplier, Nike, because of his personal logo), started in the best possible way yesterday against Los Angeles Lakers and, in addition to the 30 points, it was noted wearing the new OMN1S.
Leonard wore the white colorway with gold and ice details of the new sneaker of the American brand, created in collaboration with the former San Antonio Spurs. OMN1S come from the Latin word omnis, literally "of everything", and is the first New Balance basketball shoe designed for modern players who do not have a specific role in the field. As stated by Jonathan Grondin, Creative Design Manager of New Balance who started working on the shoe three years ago:
"The game has changed and the player now has an unprecedented versatility on the field. The OMN1S was designed for a player like Kawhi Leonard that covers all the pitch. It was designed to symbolize what we want New Balance to represent both inside and out from the field. The game speaks for itself. "
