adidas has just launched new camouflage Japan kit
The German brand insists on one of the main football trends of the year
November 6th, 2019
After the numerous leaks circulated online in recent days, adidas unveiled the new Japan national team kit, that the Asian squad will use starting from the next match against Kyrgyzstan on 14 November. The jersey surprised everyone, because it's the first 2019/2020 national team kit released and above all because it breaks from tradition with a camouflage pattern, the same used by adidas many times in this season (for kits, fonts and pre-match jerseys), following a popular trend (for example, the BAPE partnerships with PSG e the Japanese brand F.C.Real Bristol). The camo design chosen for Japan incorporates five shades of blue representing different hues of the sky.
Blue and white are a small part of the jersey. The front of the shirt features the multi-hued camouflage-like pattern, disappearing completely on the back of the kit, which is light blue like the socks. The blue navy is limited to the details of the front pattern, the collar and the shorts, as in the kit used for the 2018 World Cup. The adidas logo is red, as well as the 3 Stripes along the sides and the details of the socks.
