The Converse Pro Leather are back!

One of the most iconic basketball sneaker designed by the brand born in Massachusetts and acquired by Nike in 2003 is surely the Pro Leather, seen for the first time in 1976 worn by Julius Erving and soon became a classic of the most famous American sport in the world, almost a generational symbol for the American sports culture. The latest sneaker news is about the remastered model designed for the streets and not for the field (click here to see the full video), with the participation of the well-known Nike designer Eric Avar, who was inspired by the All-Star Pro BB revisiting the shoe in a modern way leaving the famous University red and a minimal logo on the back.

Although the current sneaker market of the NBA is dominated by Nike, there's a residual presence of other minor brands such as Under Armour and New Balance, which have managed to carve out more or less important space thanks to individual partnerships (respectively those with Steph Curry and Kawhi Leonard), we can not forget Converse, linked to the American basketball league for almost a century. The American brand created a really strong relationship since 1923, the debut on the basketball parquet floor thanks to Charles 'Chuck' Taylor, who wore the first All-Star model designed a few years earlier and which from then simply took the name of the player. Since then Converse have been worn by many champions and famous players such as Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan and Wilt Chamberlain, who had them at his feet the night when he scored 100 points in a game, in 1962.

The Converse All Star Pack is now available both online and in Slam Jam stores, even in two unreleased versions.
