VERSUS just launched ‘The Jersey Store’, a brand new series that takes the culture’s most influential voices on a shopping trip to the world’s biggest collection of classic football shirts to find their ultimate football fit. The show created by VERSUS sees a host of some UK’s artists visit Classic Football Shirts LDN to chop it up about the biggest players, stories and issues in the game right now – while also exploring how football has impacted their life story, via the medium of the game’s most famous jerseys.
Conducta – artist who heads up UKG label Kiwi Rekords – hosts the show, being one of the biggest football fans in UK music and has a huge collection of drippy vintage football shirts that he often wears on stage. In episode one of ‘The Jersey Store’, the guest is Kenny Allstar – Radio 1Xtra DJ and the man behind landmark UK rap album ‘Block Diaries’ –, who rolls through for an energetic chat about proudly backing Chelsea, iconic Nigeria jerseys, and UK rap and grime’s major influence on football right now.
