Diadora and Paura launched a new sneaker
The last chapter of the partnership features a shoe inspired by the iconic 90s football boots
November 25th, 2019
To complete the fall/winter 2019 capsule release, Diadora and Danilo Paura, iconic streetwear designer, present a new chapter of the collection: the protagonist is a unique version of the N9002 sneaker finding inspiration in the most popular football boots of the ‘90s. 'Craftsmanship as rule' is the theme of this partnership, which while highlighting the artisan expertise and the Made in Italy quality - common to both brands - celebrates the history of football and the game’s influence on fashion and sportswear.
N9002 Super Goal is a nod to the 1993 football boot worn by Marco van Basten, who is the inspiration for the entire capsule. The quilted black leather upper replicates the shape and form of the original soccer boot, as does the sock in Lycra and neoprene created back in the day for the express purpose of protecting ankles from the toughest plays. The names of the two brands and the claim “craftsmanship as rule” alternate on the back, while the total black look features red and yellow details.
