The Nike capsule collection to celebrate the NBA Paris Game 2020
Waiting for the match between Hornets and Bucks scheduled for the next January 24th
November 29th, 2019
On January 24th, Charlotte Hornets will play against the Giannis Antetokounmpo's Milwaukee Bucks at the AccorHotels Arena in Paris. The Paris Game 2020 will be an historical event, the first NBA Regular-Season game ever played in the French capital. To celebrate this meetings, Nike has designed a capsule collection inspired by the city and the culture of Parisian basketball. All the items of the collection are featured in the lookbook presented today.
The capsule consists of varsity jackets, hoodies, t-shirts, jumpsuits and accessories. Each item is emblazoned with the word "Paris" in which the letter "I" is replaced by the classic NBA logo inspired by Jerry West. Another, simpler graphic with only the word "NBA Paris" overlaid with the logo is featured on hoodie and t-shirts. The color palette is quite narrow: black and white are the dominant colors, some items are presented in a red colorway. Others, on the other hand, have colorful accents and contrasts between red and blue such as the jersey, one of the tracksuits and the hats.
