The new Pigalle playground in Mexico City
The Parisian fashion brand has created a new basketball court in collaboration with Nike and ILL-Studio

After the famous playground opened in Paris in 2009 in Rue Duperrè, the fashion brand Pigalle has worked on a similar project, inaugurating a new basketball court in Mexico City, in collaboration with Nike and ILL-Studio, a graphic design studio in Paris. The new court created by the Stéphane Ashpool brand takes up the color scheme of its Parisian 'ancestor', with shades of blue, yellow and pink that stand out against the gray of the surrounding concrete.
Stéphane Ashpool commented on the initiative in an Instagram post : "Thanks to everyone that made this possible. So many to name, you are incredible. Merci beaucoup. Sport and colors make the world better, we truly believe in it. Let’s play now!" The basketball court - located outside the Gimnasio Juan de la Barrera in the south side of the Mexican capital - will be open 7 days a week and 24 hours a day. Nike continues to focus on basketball with this project, which will be joined by the upcoming opening of a basketball court in collaboration with Travis Scott in Houston.
