For the upcoming EURO 2020, Austrian Football Association decided to restyle its old logo, creating a new crest. The new ÖFB crest was created together with PUMA while designing the new kit. The design process was also developed and carefully adapted to the requirements of the digital age, without neglecting its diverse history. The new logo maintain the prominence of the eagle, which is a symbol of the country: ten eagle wings in the coat of arms symbolize the unity of the ten members of the ÖFB( the nine regional state associations and the Austrian football league).
A new and minimal look, mantaining the red and white colors that refers to the old Duchy Austria. The inscription "Seit ÖFB 1904" is a reference to the year in which the local federation officially called Österreichischer Fußball-Bund was founded. The logo has a white background and gray borders, and it will appear as such even on the game kits, setting a difference with the past, when the crest was changed on the jersey.
