December 20th, 2019
After having applied a camouflage font on the 2019/2020 home kit, just before the final of the Italian Super Cup scheduled for Sunday, December 22, in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, Juventus will use a special graphic on the match jerseys, specially designed by the Saudi-Moroccan artist Shaker Kashgari: the Riyadh edition will concerns the name of the players written in Arabic and a special font for the numbers on the back, which represents the repetition of the word Juventus in Arabic.
It's not the first time that Juventus has chosen different fonts to be applied on their shirts, after using Chinese characters last summer during the Asian tour. This is certainly a tribute to the multicultural origin of the International squad of Juventus, but above all the umpteenth great marketing idea to expand its popularity in an deep growing market that has not yet been definitively explored, such as the Arab and Middle East.
