Cagliari Calcio unveiled its Centenary crest
Designed by Antonio Marras and presented during the Pitti 2020
January 9th, 2020
Although Cagliari Calcio was founded on 30 May by the doctor Gaetano Fichera from Catania, the Sardinian team chose the Pitti showcase to present the Centenary logo, the perfect opportunity to show off the new badge that the Rossoblù will use during 2020, most likely also on match shirts. Made by the Sardinian designer Antonio Marras, it's a very stylized sketch of the current logo, which includes the Quattro Mori flag, the red and blue colors and the number 100, like the years of the team coached by Rolando Maran.
The Centenary logo was unveiled on the occasion of the international fashion show taking place in Florence, during which also the new official uniforms designed by Marras himself and made by Lubiam were presented, worn by Leonardo Pavoletti and Luca Ceppitelli. As stated by the designer born in Alghero, the true protagonist of this rebranding:
"I like challenges and this great opportunity to collaborate with Cagliari Calcio seemed to me unmissable. I love Cagliari and its people, I love the tenacity, courage and generosity of Cagliari Calcio that represents it. The logo comes from the heart, from my land, from the sea, from the colors and the strength!"
