Why is the Dwight Howard's Lakers jersey so rare?
There's a contracual reason behind the jersey that's virtually not to be found

Whoever would have bet that at 35 years old would be able to re-born as a NBA player: last summer Dwight Howard returned to the Los Angeles Lakers, where he had already played between 2012 and 2013, and despite his age he managed to shine alongside LeBron James, Anthony Davis & Co in what is currently the best team of the Western Conference. But for fans of the Californian franchise, buying his jersey is almost impossible.
Unlike the shirts of the various LeBron, AD, Kyle Kuzma, Rajon Rondo but also of the new local idol, Alex Caruso, of which is only difficult is to pick the correct size, Howard's one is nowhere to be found. In this regard, Arash Markazi wrote about it a few days ago on the LA Times, disappointed that he could not give to his cousin the unusual number 39 for his birthday. For a contractual reason, given that Howard has signed an unsecured agreement at the minimum salary, and for players with this status the shirts are usually not put on sale, neither online nor in physical stores, such as that of the Staples Center. If you consider that Howard is the first player in the history of the Lakers to have chosen the 39, this is why the current yellow and purple jacket has become even more an absolute rarity, so many that passionate fans would be willing to do almost anything.
