The last just was certainly the best of her sporting career, thanks to the title of World Champion won in June with the USA National team as captain and absolute leader and with the female Golden Ball award received in December. Megan Rapinoe's 2020, on the other hand, opens with a new chapter in her life: the American footballer was chosen as the testimonial of Loewe's new Autumn/Winter 2020 collection. On the occasion of the #LOEWEFW20 Men’s show, on Instagram was posted a preview of 'For Real', the series of short videos that will accompany the brand's new campaign in which Rapinoe will be the absolute protagonist.
The Spanish luxury brand use a close-up by Steven Meisel who portrays the Rapinoe with its unmistakable pink hairstyle for the preview released in Paris in the past few hours. In addition to his football skills, the American athlete has proven to be unique character, who recently has not spared some controversial phrases against Donald Trump's policy and who has distinguished himself for the courage with which he made some statements in defense of the LGBTQ + community and on the theme of racism and civil rights. The 34-year-old Californian commented on this:
"I'm so excited about this collaboration with Loewe and Jonathan Anderson. Multiple worlds that crash together, creating something bigger, different and more exciting than you can do on your own."
