Puma presents "Crafted from Culture", the new Palmeiras jersey
The 2020-21 kit of the Brazilian club have been unveiled
March 3rd, 2020
After joining 2019 as a partner of the Brazilian team, Puma is ready for the 2020-21 season which will start in early May. A few hours ago the new jerseys were revealed for home games, away games and goalkeepers for the next Brasileirão. The Verdão, in all likelihood, will still be the only Brazilian team sponsored by the German brand. To present the new kit, this time Palmeiras relies on a video that tells the roots of the club, the people it has represented and still represents.
The concept of the new jersey is "Crafted from Culture". The color and design are clear references to the "Renaissance kit" that Puma has created for the Italian national team. Palmeiras was founded by Luigi Cervo, Luigi Marzo, Vincenzo Ragognetti and Ezequiel Simone, four Italians who in 1914 created what at the time was the "Sociedade Esportiva Palestra Itália" in São Paulo. So, therefore, of Italian on the new Verdão shirt, complete with "Avanti" written on the back of the collar.
After Nike's choice to represent only 5 teams in the South American leagues, PUMA is doing a great job in his first adventure in the world of football that lives on rules unrelated to any logic.
