Nike presents ''The Living Room Cup''
A series of digital trainings to compete against professional athletes like CR7
April 6th, 2020
During this 'dark' period, athletes from all over the world choose a courageous optimism in making sport part of their routine. Of course, competition is a feature that defines the world of sport, and not only the competition against yourself in achieving your best result, but also a friendly challenge against others.
And this is how the "Living Room Cup" was born, a new initiative designed by Nike to continue making sport a daily habit even at home: it is a series of digital trainings that debuted yesterday and which offer a new space to compete against Nike professional athletes through weekly fitness challenges.
The first challenge, a workout dedicated to the abs and led by Cristiano Ronaldo, was shared yesterday through his Instagram account, replicated almost immediately by Marco Belinelli.
Ronaldo gave his followers a week to beat his best result, after which he will pass the baton to another athlete for a new challenge. Dedicated trainings to train and gain a competitive advantage during each week's challenge will be made available on the Nike Training Club app.
The Living Room Cup is another example of Nike's proposals to support all athletes in their indoor wellness journey such as the NTC app, which offers more than 190 guided and free workouts.
Participants in these challenges can share their results on their Instagram profiles using the hashtags #playinside and #thelivingroomcup.
