Nike returns to cycling with the SuperRep Cycle

Nike returns to cycling with the SuperRep Cycle After Lance Armstrong, Cavendish and Blyhte, the Swoosh seems to think big

Specially designed for indoor sports - with the launch designed specifically in a period in which home workouts replaced outdoor ones because of Coronavirus - the SuperRep Cycle is Nike's first footwear creation in terms of cycling .

To better meet the needs of lateral movements, the shoe has a support arch on the medial side of the shoe - just like in the Air Zoom SuperRep training shoe - which helps to keep the feet fixed during the lateral movements of the feet while in the saddle .

The Nike SuperRep Cycle also solves the problem of wet shoes due to the sweat of an indoor workout during the summer season: incorporating a light and translucent mesh on the upper, together with a perforated insole and numerous vents, the shoe allows a better air flow around the fingers.

The connection system is simplified, with the detachable clips that are compatible with the main pedal systems, while the rubber studs and the structured toe allow you to walk safely avoiding the risk of slipping and ruining the sole.

In general, the shoe is versatile and visually stunning, manifesting itself through the details of the shirt which covers a fluorescent orange or pink color in the exclusive female color.

After the Armstrong case, Nike had slipped quietly from the cycling world even though it had a line called "Livestrong" totally dedicated to the alleged American champion. In recent years, the cycling products of the Beaverton brand have been absolutely rare, as it is rare for the ''Swoosh'' to bind its name to a cyclist. The few recent cases have been those of Mark Cavendish, who has repeatedly worn Mercurial-like shoes and that of Adam Blythe, who has even become the brand's testimonial.

The Nike SuperRep Cycle will be released in Europe in May on nike.com, followed by a Member Exclusive version in North America starting May 26 followed by a global version on June 1st.
