After the deep furrow traced by two designers who have indelibly marked the last decade - Virgil Abloh and Gosha Rubchinskiy -, the combination of football - haute couture continues to be topical: after Versace's football shirts and the most recent Gucci basketball, here also Louis Vuitton has officially signaled a thought to pastimes also for sportsmen and does it with a new design object that is easier to find in a bar than in a house: it is the foosball table .

It is not the first time that the French fashion house has shown its interest in games, so much so that for decades the famous monogram can be found on trunks - designed specifically for the transport of leisure objects -, on chess or backgammon cases, on the poker cases or on the croquet club holder, up to the most recent dice or card holders.

The reason for this attention to "fun" is far from casual, in fact Louis Vuitton's nephew, Gaston-Louis, was a real fan of board games and sports in general.

The table football in question incorporates a series of elements that recall the history of the French maison from 1896 to today: the ''canvas foosball table'' has three colors, two of which with canvases completely covered by the LV monogram (one in the classic beige color and brown, the other, more sober, in black and gray), the "vvt foosball table" is instead in white and brown while the "epi leather foosball table" is the most imaginative version, with three monochromatic colors , in yellow, aqua green and amaranth.

For each foosball table, the covering materials extend around the whole body of the "table", while every detail inside such as the "groom" - used for the 1921 advertising campaign - is hand-painted.

In 2010 Louis Vuitton had already used foosball, that time ''only'' for an advertisement in which appeared Pele, the Argentine Diego Armando Maradona and the French Zidane who had posed in front of the lens of Anne Leibovitz in the Café Maravillas bar of Madrid to celebrate the South African World Cup that would take place shortly thereafter.
