The new Tekela v3 from New Balance
The first soccer shoe without laces of the American brand

New Balance unveils the next generation of the football shoe through the "Futuresight" edition of the Tekela v3, the brand's first shoe without laces, presented in a "Navy Eclipse/Silver Metallic" colorway, embellished with a mix of colors "Varsity Orange, Chromatic and Atomic Yellow and Neo Crimson and Flame" which highlight the areas where the ball is hit.
The Tekela model has often been overlooked in the New Balance repertoire, placed in the background compared to the more important Furon. But now, in addition to the new version of the Furon v6, here is also the first shoe of the brand created with a knitted upper: the laces have been eliminated, replaced by an elasticized upper that acts as an integrated ''hypoknit'' closure system, eliminating any other interference between the foot and the ball.
The design is still a derivation of Kinetic Stitch technology, although a new algorithm has been created to be able to join all areas of the shoe. On the lower side, the kaleidoscopic coloring found on the continuous upper on the sole. Inside, an InfiniGRIP Ortholite insole offers cushioning and prevents the foot from slipping.
The fact of seeing football boots without laces is certainly not new, since after the advent of the first Nike Magista Obra the trend of almost all brands has been to create shoes ''with a sock'' and, precisely , without laces. However, this is the ''first time'' that New Balance launches into this territory which has not been explored so far and, to get to this point, it took years of improvement, in order to increase the aesthetics and materials without regressing in the ''performance'' aspect.
