According to the CIES Football Observatory, a Swiss organization that analyzes football data, Kylian Mbappé, 21-year-old French striker from Paris Saint-Germain, is the most expensive football player in the world.
At the beginning of 2020 the player had been valued at 265.2 million Euros, proclaiming himself as the most valuable player in the world. Just six months later, despite the fact that its "price" has dropped to 259.2 million Euros, Mbappé is confirmed as the number one in this special ranking.
The top 5 is completed with four young English players: Raheem Sterling maintains second place with his 194.7 million Euros in value, followed by Jadon Sancho of Borussia Dortmund with 179.1, Trent Alexander-Arnold of Liverpool which costs 171.1 million and thus enters for the first time in the top 10 and to close Marcus Rashford with his 152.3.
The youngest of the top ten players is the 19-year-old Bayern Munich gem Alphonso Davies, while the two martians Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, who by now have reached the peak of their career, are ranked 21st and 70th respectively (despite the Portuguese has just become the first active player to become a billionaire).
The top 4 of the Italians is instead made up of Nicolò Zaniolo who despite the long stop is worth 70.1 million Euros, followed by Nicolò Barella, the Italian-Brazilian Jorginho and Marco Verratti.
