The new Chelsea 2020-21 Nike shirt
The #PrideOfLondon translated into a design that recalls the great London tailoring
July 1st, 2020
After the launch of the Inter shirt arrived yesterday morning, Nike uses the same strategy to unveil the shirt for Chelsea's home games of the 2020-21 season. Graphically, the presentation of home jersey looks a lot like that of the Nerazzurri, confirming the rumors that the swoosh would use very similar throwing styles.
The style of the shirt, however, is completely different from the first important Nike shirt of the next season launched yesterday. The #PrideOfLondon that stands out on Chelsea's social profiles refers to the London tailoring tradition. A clear reference is that of Savile Row, one of the great streets of London where most of the tailoring studios are concentrated, which have contributed to making London one of the great capitals of fashion. In terms of design, Chelsea blue is present everywhere, while the herringbone details recall the lines designed by the tailors. The Blues take the opportunity to also present "Three", the new shirt sponsor that guarantees the club an entry of 40 million pounds.
"The kit is really, really smart – very Chelsea. You can see the story behind the kit with how it looks and all the little touches that remind you of a good suit. I think we will certainly be the best dressed team next season"
This is how Frank Lampard's striker Tammy Abraham comments on the new kit. The uniform will be worn for the first time tonight in the Premier match against West Ham. It is now available in the official store and from 9 July in the Stamford Bridge megastore.
