The restyling of the Icelandic national team
The new crest and the new PUMA jersey by KSI have been presented

Two months ago we talked about the agreement that brought PUMA on the shirts of Iceland, a national team that thanks to its exploits and the flair of its fans has slowly gained media attention from sponsors with an international vision.
The sense of national belonging - which is reflected on the field through a great team spirit - is one of the aspects on which the Icelandic community is founded and was an inspiration to redesign a crest that had never been touched up since the day of the own creation.
The bull, the griffin, the dragon and the giant, protectors of the island, represent Icelandic history from the day of its foundation, which is why the choice to focus on these four icons for the restyling of the new logo is was obvious.
Following that flat design that is depopulating when it comes to rebranding, Iceland has also decided to turn the page, giving life to a new national reference symbol inspired by its heritage. It is a logo that will appear on the new PUMA shirt, but which will also be declined in every commercial and visual aspect, so as to quickly enter the collective imagination.
Another absolute novelty as regards the knit is the new font: with the help of the German brand a tiny ad hoc character has been studied that has its origins in wood sculpture - traditional work of Icelandic craftsmanship - giving further value to the purely national influence.
