A week after the announcement of the early separation with Nike, Roma presents the latest home shirt produced by the American brand, which will be used during the next season.
The reference, which had already been leaked for several months through several leaks, is the shirt with the turtleneck designed by Piero Gratton signed by Pouchain, with which the capitolini won the 1980 Italian Cup. The shirt at the time was called "icicle" by the way of the different shades of yellow and red used in the horizontal stripes and for the 2020/2021 season Nike has decided to re-propose the same style.
It is in fact a chromatic combination formed by various lines that start from yellow, become orange and then fade upwards in a darker red than the tunic. The same band also continues on the back, a feature that is hardly found on the latest Nike shirts, which prefer a cleaner design on the back.
The kit is completed with red shorts, with a darker side bands, and with socks that also have the chromatic combination of the shirt.
''This kit is a modern interpretation of one of Rome's most famous and unconventional uniforms ever. We have adopted a linear design with shaded stripes, using the representative and traditional colors of the club to create a kit that we hope the team and the fans will wear with pride'' said Scott Munson, VP of Football Apparel of Nike, who in these words defines the Rome's latest home shirt produced by the Swoosh.
