Franck Ribéry appeared in a rap video

Rico Mendossa - born Gabriele Stazzone Manazza -, a Turin-born rapper of Sicilian origins released his latest single ''Franck'' yesterday.

It is a praise to the friendship that binds the rapper and the Fiorentina footballer Franck Ribéry, who has chosen to appear in the official video of the song - out on YouTube today - to reinforce the deep message that lies behind it.

The strength of Rico Mendossa has always been the constancy and coherence in dealing with his themes strictly related to street situations, of which he makes himself an authoritative narrator, having always lived them in first person. The piece, in fact, does not give in to the easy temptation to talk about football but in the refrain stands the figure of Franck Ribéry as a symbol of all that group of people who, coming from highly degraded environments, have managed to make the misfortunes of life their luck, through sacrifice, passion, dedication and hard work.

This is a very significant output, at the base of which there are no commercial logics but only a real bond born following Ribery's desire to meet Rico in Italy after Mendossa had mentioned him in another song, "Ribery" , of 2018.
